Mounting & Sealing A Mirror

Follow these steps for protecting garden posts against wood rot. For example, the posts used for fences, pergolas and swings.

STEP 1

Determine the part of the garden post that is going to be under the ground and add a couple of extra centimetres. This is the part that has to be treated.

STEP 2

Sand the part of the surface to be treated with a scouring pad or sandpaper. Ensure the surface is dry and free of dust and grease.

STEP 3

Manually stir the Rubber Seal until you have a uniform colour.

STEP 4

With a brush, apply a layer of Rubber Seal to the sides and bottom of the post.

STEP 5

Wait approximately 10 minutes, then apply a second coat of Bison Rubber Seal.

STEP 6

Allow the treated posts to completely dry. Rubber Seal is dust-free dry after approximately 3 hours. After 48 hours, it is fully cured, depending on the amount applied and ambient circumstances.

STEP 7

Place the posts in the ground so that the top of the treated section remains a few centimetres above ground level.
